New Marine Insurance Underwriter

Global Marine Insurance welcomes its new marine underwriter, Kate Murphy.  Her unique combination of insurance industry experience and boating enthusiasm makes her well suited to secure the best yacht insurance solutions for her clients.

A Rhode Island native, Kate is a lifelong boating enthusiast. She graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing in 2003, then worked in the higher education market before entering the marine insurance industry. Kate is an active member of Young Professionals in Yachting, International Yacht Brokers Association, and the Ft. Lauderdale Mariner’s Club. She currently resides in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

“Kate is an outstanding addition to our team. We welcome her knowledge and passion for the industry,” says Troy Buttleman, Sales Manager. 

Ms. Murphy is strategically positioned to fill a need in the Ft. Lauderdale market and support the existing Global Marine Insurance team. The expansion of Global Marine Insurance Agency reflects its current trend of growth in Michigan, Texas, Florida, Washington, and California. Founded in 1989 they continue to serve the marine industry throughout the country.
