New Director of Marine Insurance Broker Operations

Traverse City company focuses on specialized insurance solutions for boaters

DSC_0012_edited-1TRAVERSE CITY, MI – Global Marine Insurance is pleased to announce that veteran marine insurance specialist Betsy Hicks has joined the team as Director of Broker Operations / Project Manager.

Betsy brings with her 30 years of insurance experience, with 27 specifically in the marine insurance field. Her new role with Global Marine Insurance is to manage the broker division of the boat insurance business, attract new, qualified brokers and provide them with the tools to help clients.

The Michigan State University alumna has worked in nearly every capacity in the marine specialty business over the years including boat insurance sales, service and operations management. Betsy’s new role will provide valuable support to Global Marine Insurance staff.

“Aside from working in the boat insurance industry, I enjoy travel, biking, boating and beaches,” says Betsy, who has raised three children with her husband of 39 years. “Our summer weekends are spent at the family cottage on the northern edge of Lake Erie in Canada.”
