Hottest Yachts from the Miami Yacht Show

It’s heating up in Miami now, but if you ask our yacht insurance specialists, they’ll tell you it was sizzling at the Miami Yacht Show in February. This year’s Miami Yacht Show beat back the winter blahs with a brilliant display of luxurious new and pre-owned yachts. Our yacht insurance specialists debate which are the top 10 best yachts at the Miami Yacht Show, but these four vessels are on everyone’s list.

The Best of the biggest yachts

We’re smitten by Kismet, a stunning steel-hulled charter superyacht that measures a whopping 312 feet. She was built in 2014 by Lurssen as a project by Moran Yacht & Ship, fully intended to offer every element of comfort and elegance while transporting those onboard across the ocean and over the seas.

Highlights of the Kismet include the exterior by the internationally-known designer, Espen Oeino, which boasts decks with an outdoor fireplace and a mosaic pool and jacuzzi to tempt guests away from the observation deck or expansive lounge areas. In addition to a decadent owner’s suite, there are six staterooms (two of which are VIP suites), three indoor lounge and dining areas, a spa and well-appointed exercise gym, saloon and cinema.

Best of the most expensive yachts

While the $79,642,000 purchase price is beyond most budgets, the enchanting Excellence V is 199.9 feet you will never forget. Built-in 2012 by the world-renowned German Abeking and Rasmussen shipyard, the Excellence V features five decks of well-planned luxury and Northern Europe’s most sophisticated engineering.

It’s easy to imagine leisurely strolling the decks, descending the dramatic central staircase, enjoying a dip in one of the spa pools or enjoying the view of the water while working out in the exercise area. In addition to the full owner’s deck, this impressive yacht boasts seven guest cabins (five of which are double), a cinema and a beach club.

Thank you to the Miami Yacht Show organizers for another incredible opportunity to check out the latest innovations, dream a little and mingle with other boating enthusiasts.
