It’s always exciting to see the newest recreational boats and yachts at the boat shows and, of course, out on the waves. One of the sleekest new models to hit the market this past fall is the new 2019 Chaparral 347 SSX.

In honor of innovation and boating our yacht insurance specialists are featuring the Chaparral 347 SSX as the yacht of the month. We’ve enjoyed checking out all the specs on this yacht and think you will too.

2019 Chaparral 347 SSX

If you’re not familiar with Chaparral, check them out online. Manufactured in Nashville, Georgia they’ve been in the boat building business since in the sixties, moving from Florida to Georgia in the mid-seventies. Our yacht insurance specialists appreciate that Chaparral is a family business with more than 800 employees, many of which are second or third generation boat builders.

The handcrafted 2019 Chaparral 347 SSX is a beauty that features the shimmer of an Alloy Eclipse gelcoat package. If you’re looking for performance or design, the 347 SSX will fill the bill for comfort, luxury, and power (not to mention value for top-notch craftsmanship).

As for features, the 347 SSX boasts an all-new hardtop with the option of a powered, retractable sunshade to protect you from harmful UV rays. This model is roomy and ideal for trips or entertaining.

Other factory options or dealer-added extras include an Axius joystick control system, twin Simrad navigation screens, a moving prop alert system, air conditioning and heating with a cockpit air vent, wooden blinds in the galley and salon, and more. The fuel capacity is 150 gallons and water 25 gallons. (Ask our yacht insurance specialists if added safety features can earn you a discount on coverage.)
